Our Resident Conductors

At Broadway Academy Orchestra, we are proud to have a team of resident conductors who bring their unique perspectives and experiences to our musical productions. Our resident conductors are an essential part of our orchestra, providing guidance and leadership to our musicians, and helping to shape the direction of our performances.

Each of our resident conductors is a highly skilled and experienced musician, with a deep understanding of orchestral music and a passion for bringing it to life. They work closely with our musicians to ensure that each performance is finely tuned and perfectly executed, and they bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the orchestra.

We are proud to have such a talented and dedicated team of resident conductors on board, and we look forward to continuing to work with them to bring exceptional music to our audiences.

Dr Casey Brodway

Dr Casey Broadway specializes in Musical Theater & the Physiology of The Voice. He is also Choral Director and Music Arranger. Dr Casey also has extensive experience in wind and orchestral ensembles where he plays and teaches the Clarinet & Flute. He has played in professional orchestras as well as known for his wind band directing.

Mustaqim Abdullah

Mustaqim Abdullah is a trombonist, conductor and music arranger. He is currently a member of the Selangor Symphony Orchestra and KL Performing Arts Centre Symphonic Band. He has performed with the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra, the 2010 World Youth Orchestra, KL City Hall Orchestra, Wells Cathedral School UK, Norfolk community band UK, and the Queensland Youth Orchestra.

As an avid band director, Mustaqim travels the country giving workshops at school and community ensembles, while holding a part time position at University Putra Malaysia. He has been conducting school bands since 18 and was assistant conductor of the National Youth Orchestra from 2010 to 2012. His latest engagement is as the resident conductor of the Broadway Academy Orchestra. He has worked with conductors such as Kevin Field, Benjamin Zander, Claus Peter Flor, Ralph Hultgren, and Adrian Tan.
